Edith A. (Wright) Hyson, 84, a long-time resident of Framingham, died Sunday, August 6, 2017 after an illness.

She was the wife of William R. Hyson, who died August 9, 1999. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Rose Wright. She was employed at the Zayre home office for 18 years. Upon its closing, she then worked for The Fallon Clinic in Westboro for 12 years until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the Wellesley United Methodist Church, Orient Chapter #31 OES, a volunteer at...

Edith A. (Wright) Hyson, 84, a long-time resident of Framingham, died Sunday, August 6, 2017 after an illness.

She was the wife of William R. Hyson, who died August 9, 1999. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Rose Wright. She was employed at the Zayre home office for 18 years. Upon its closing, she then worked for The Fallon Clinic in Westboro for 12 years until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the Wellesley United Methodist Church, Orient Chapter #31 OES, a volunteer at A Place to Turn in Natick, the Treasurer of the local Framingham chapter of AARP, a member of the Friends of Callahan and the Queen and founder of chapter 56271 of The Red Hat Society.

She leaves a daughter, Susan A. Tebeau and her husband Edward; a son, William R. Hyson, Jr. and his wife Marilou, all of Milford; sister-in-law, Carole Burns and her husband Paul of Watertown; several nieces, nephews and a great niece and nephew.

Funeral services and burial will be private.
